It just had to happen, didn't it?
Even without Senderos to bully, Drogba has once again destroyed Arsenal's dreams of lifting the trophy.
This time, it was the error of young Polish goalkeeper FabiaĆski, who had a birthday to forget.
But he was not the only one to be blamed.
In fact, the only 2 players who played well was Theo Walcott, and suprisingly 19-year-old Kieran Gibbs.
The biggest fault was perhaps Arsene Wenger's bizarre decision to play a 4-2-3-1 formation. (not 4-4-2 formation, Straits Times. -.-) Arshavin was fit and eager to go, so why in the world did Wenger choose to rest him instead? A Diaby-Denilson combo is always going to prove to be nerve-bundling.
So what's the verdict for Arsenal now?
Walcott and Van Persie have not signed extension contracts yet.
Toure is fed up and wants to leave.
Adebayor is not loyal.
Fabregas is tempted by Barcelona.
A mass exodus if the Gunners do not win the UCL? Highly possible.
And if that happens, I don't know what to say.
