Wow.

It has been a year since that fateful incident.

I could still recall it as if it happened yesterday.

Then, it was the beginning of the darkest moments in my life.

But one year forward, I'm glad to be still alive and kicking.

Yup, even though life may seem sucky at times, cherish it, for you only have one chance to live it.

^Thorn among the roses. I like the words printed on the class T.

And I'm bored again.
Can someone please bring me out during the weekends, lol?

I'm dead beat.

Slept for only 2 hours yesterday.

Zombified mode in school. But hail the 1.5 hr break before Physics lecture!

Lecture was such a snore, I should have ponned together with the other three. But must give Mrs Heng a bit of respect la.

After that, went for lunch at Macs alone and went back to school to unveil the new 32nd EXCO for ny'AVA.

But unforseen circumstances arise after we revealed the positions and there is now no one occupying the secretary role.

Had debates and discussions with the 31st EXCO and Mrs Heng, and we are still yet to come upon a solution as of 5.30pm.

And thus, it concludes a tiring day for me as I am still discussing with Christopher
on how to resolve this issue.

Now moving on to my promised review of Arsenal's semi-final loss in the UCL.

So another season without any trophies.

Arsenal's exit out of the Champions' League was hard to take, since it was the only competition left in which the Gunners had a chance of winning.

The defeat to Manchester United sums it up: lack of desire, commitment and ideas.

The consequences of today's defeat might be severe, with frustrated players set to leave after failing to lift a trophy for 4 straight seasons.

To name a few,
Certain to leave: Van Persie
Possibly leaving: Adebayor, Fabregas, Walcott, Toure, Gallas

Seriously, sell the two strikers for all I care. Van Persie is wasteful, Adebayor is just a glimpse of his best last season. Both are unloyal.

I still have faith that the Gunners will be back stronger next season, with Arshavin no longer cup-tied, young players maturing, possible extra cash to spend and hopefully less injuries. What we need is a creative and clinical striker, a solid defensive midfielder, a strong centre-back and better decision making by Arsene Wenger. Monsieur Wenger himself is "off-form", having made a couple of questionable decisions this season, one of them being the FA Cup semi-finals, whereby he rested Arshavin and Nasri for no apparent reason.

And for those hardcore glory-hunter rival fans, please just shut the fuck up.

As I said before, "A true fan supports a team for how they play; winning trophies are just bonuses."
Man U leads 2-0 at half-time. Arsenal needs 4 goals to go through.

Do you believe in miracles?

I do.

EDIT: FT- Arsenal 1-3 Manchester United
Shall blog about it later.

Crunch tie today between Arsenal and Manchester United as both teams are fighting it out for the right to be in Rome in the UCL finals.

The Red Devils currently hold a slender 1-0 lead after the 1st leg at Old Trafford, and are hoping to extend the goal difference to cement a place in the finals.

The Gunners, meanwhile, face an uphill task despite what appears to be a slender lead. If the Devils were to score one goal in this fixture, Arsenal will need 3 goals to go through. Considering the key injuries to their defence personnel, the Gunners must probably stock up on their firepower to compensate for it.

Thus, this promises to be a thrilling match to watch, even for the neutrals.

Go Gunners, I have faith in you.
Show them a spirited performance; a never-say-die attitude till the final whistle!

Anyway, in other non-soccer related news,
It was nice to see some 0722 peeps again today.
Seriously miss those fun times we had.

Finally, it has started.

I sense a resurgence in the force.

But then,
When there's opportunity to idle, seize it before the going gets tough.

Oh, I'm such a sloth.
Fuck it, I can't snap out of it.
I'm starting to feel that I am living in my own world.

Ah, to hell with it, I'm gonna go out to celebrate life this weekend.

Anyone care to join me for a cup of coffee, movie or cycling trip?

Ice-cream, my treat.

So I decided to spam 13 episodes of sola over the weekends to relieve boredom.

But shit, I picked the wrong anime to watch.
Not that it's not a good anime (in fact I will give it a 9 out of 10), but damn it makes me even more sad.

Ending Song:

Translation:

The memories recorded on faded pages
Come back to life when I close my eyes.
May this innocent one’s prayers
Take flight for the skies of hope.

I sighed, but time resumes its flow before long,
Even though I stood my ground, alone.

I hum a tune that protects dreams.
When people enter dreamland,
Their desire to see each other again someday
Gets woven into threads of love.
The bedtime stories which bring out kindness in people
Are those I heard from you.
Let us softly return – to the memories from back then.

Picking up the courage to step out,
Let’s head off into the wind.
If your heart should get lost,
Seek out the melody the girl sings as she sets forth.

I’ll call out in a voice so warm
That it would melt even the ice.

The dawn of melting snow is too dazzling.
Turning around, I see your smiling face.
The day we’ll meet again
Is definitely not far off, right?
If sorrow could turn into stars someday,
Please grant me the wishes that have taken root in my heart,
So that their radiance might descend onto the Earth.

I hum a tune that protects dreams.
In the depths of this emotion of peace
Is a soft thread of love which leads to happiness.
The bedtime stories which tell of fondness
Are those I learnt from you.
Let us softly return – to the memories from back then.

Why is the world so unfair? =(

Happiness

Happiness.

A term loosely used by most, and what does it exactly mean?

According to our good friend Wiki, it states that "Happiness is a state of mind or feeling such as contentment, satisfaction, pleasure, or joy."

Ah, I see the word satisfaction there.

Satisfaction is basically achieved when you are in ease with your mind.

However, from my observations, we are never satisfied with what we have.

Test results, possessions, wealth, the way we are treated, attention, time.

We always want more, whether it is in terms of quality, quantity or both.

It does not help that we now live in a society that is fast-paced, which accelerates depreciation of goods, increases competition amongst people and decreases the amount of spare time we have which can be used to establish firm relationships.

Which all leads to one problem: Dissatisfaction, which in turn cause unhappiness.

So why don't we just take a breather and stop progressing. It would minimise the level of our dissatisfaction, right?

Yet, we are unable to do so. Why? Because it is this dissatisfaction that prompts us to progress, to seek for the thing that would be able to make us happy once and for all.

Oh, the irony of it all.
